The Serpentine
An offshoot of the Eco faction, the pirates calling themselves the Serpentine will stop at nothing to save the environment, even if it means looting citizens to fund their actions.
Background
The Serpentine faction takes the Earth’s Disciples' beliefs to the extreme. They perceive the rampant growth of human civilization as an existential threat to Nature, so they aim to steal as much wealth as they can from Cryptopia to stop the nation’s growth. Like a strangler fig growing on a tree, they will leech what wealth they can and use it to stop pollution and climate change.
The pirate group’s spokesperson and leader, Milandu Adamu, was a former marine biologist and member of the Earth’s Disciples. However, she eventually grew disillusioned with her faction, believing that their actions were too timid to ever bear fruit. This led her to break off her long-term relationship with the faction leader, John Smith, and form her own group, one that would punish eco offenders directly and use their resources for the cause.
Aiming to restore Earth’s lost glory, The Serpentine swore to be the venom of this highly polluting and wasteful society. With their actions, they aim for humans to cease all pollutive activity and return to Mother Earth’s embrace—or else.
Eco Pirate Ships
Raptor - Starter Ship: Leveraging wind and ocean energy and with extra cargo space to boot, the Raptor is a good pirate ship for those who don't want to depend on fossil fuels.
Cetus - Frontier Ship: Large like its namesake, the Cetus can hold more cargo than most common pirate ships. Perfect for rapidly moving lots of ill-gotten loot.
